The 30834 rod antenna is designed to work with vehicle radiotelephones operating in frequency bands:

  • 68 ÷ 88 MHz in simplex,
  • 136 ÷ 174 MHz.

This type of antenna ia adapted for installation on any motor vehicle.

Iy is possible to replace 3089 antenna with 30834 antenna.

Operating conditions:

The 30834 antenna needs to be mounted to the metal body of a vehicle or to the metal bracket which is galvanically connected to the bodywork, which is a “ground plane” for the antenna. The place of mounting of the antenna needs to be close to the center of the largest horizontal plane of vehicle’s metal bodywork or close to the center of the whole structure of a vehicle. This way of installation ensures correct antenna impedance and a horizontal radiation pattern closest to circular

The hole of a diameter Φ 16,2 mm between the antenna base (shield of a coaxial cable supplying an antenna) and the body work of a vehicle is required for installation of the antenna.

The antenna is produced for lower frequency of every antenna's version operating band. Tuning to the operating frequency is done by cutting the top of antenna's rod to the required length, after installation of the antenna according to the installation and tuning manual for exact version of the antenna.
