Mobile Antenna 30830

Mobile antenna 30830

Mobile antenna 30830

The 30830 rod antenna is designed to work with vehicle radiotelephones opersting in frequency bands:

74 ÷ 88 MHz in simpex, semiduplex or duplex mode (solely for installation in the centre of TAXI lamp LZ type with 30820-1000/1),

136 ÷ 174 MHz.

The antenna is equipped with a joint, which enables inclination of the antenna radiator to the ground. This type of antenna is adapted for installation on any motor vehicle.

Operating conditions:

The 30830 antenna needs to be mounted:

  • versions 1, 2, 6 and 7: to the metal body of a vehicle  or to the metal bracket which is galvanically connected to the bodywork, which is a "ground plane" for the antenna,
  • versions 3, 4 and 5: solely on the geometrical centre of TAXI lamp LZ type with 30820-1000/1 connectors set.

The place of mounting of the antenna needs to be close to the center of the largest horizontal plane of vehicle’s metal bodywork or close to the center of the whole structure of a vehicle. This way of installation ensures correct antenna impedance and a horizontal radiation pattern closest to circular. The hole in a vehicle’s bodywork of a diameter of Φ 21,2 mm is required for installation of the antenna.

During the installation it is particularly important to ensure a galvanic contact between the antenna base (shield of a coaxial cable supplying the antenna ) and the bodywork of a vehicle. The antenna(versions 1÷6) is produced for a lower frequency of sub-range given as a "operating band". Tuning to the operating frequency is done by cutting the top of antenna's rod to the required length, after installation of the antenna. Version 7 of the antenna does not require tuning.
