Operating conditions:

Antenna needs to be mounted to the metal body of a vehicle or to the metal bracket which is galvanically connected to the bodywork, which is a “ground plane” for the antenna. The place of mounting of the antenna needs to be close to the center of the largest horizontal plane of vehicle’s metal bodywork or close to the center of the whole structure of a vehicle. This way of installation ensures correct antenna impedance and a horizontal radiation pattern closest to circular.
The hole in a vehicle’s bodywork of a diameter of Φ 16,2 mm is required for installation of the antenna. During the installation it is particularly important to ensure a galvanic contact between the antenna base (shield of a coaxial cable supplying an antenna ) and the bodywork of a vehicle.

The antenna is produced for lower frequency of sub-range given as a "operating band". Tuning to the operating frequency is done by cutting the top of antenna's rod to the required length, after installation of the antenna.
