The 30820 rod antenna is designed to work with mobile radiotelephones operating in frequency bands:

74÷88 MHz with simplex, semiduplex or duplex type of operation (for installation in the centre of TAXI lamp LZ type with 30820-1000/1 connectors set),

299,5÷345 MHz,

370÷400 MHz.

This type of antenna is adapted for installation on any motor vehicle.

Operating conditions:

The 30820 needs to be mounted:
• versions 1 and 2: to the metal body of a vehicle or to the metal bracket which is galvanically connected to the bodywork,  which is a “ground plane”  for the antenna;
• versions 3 and 4: solely on the geometric centre of TAXI lamp LZ type with 30820-1000/1 connectors set , which are included with the antenna kit.
The place of mounting of the antenna needs to be close to the centre of the largest horizontal plane of vehicle’s metal bodywork or close to the centre of the whole structure of a vehicle. This way of installation ensures correct antenna impedance and a horizontal radiation pattern closest to circular.
The hole in a vehicle’s bodywork of a diameter of Φ 16,2 mm is required for installation of the antenna. During the installation it is particularly important to ensure a galvanic contact between the antenna base (shield of a coaxial cable supplying an antenna) and the bodywork of a vehicle.
